...and if you don't know what I mean it is nothing you should worry about. This is for the most part inspired by a conversation I had with Catwoman on the way to drop her off at her house, and some conversations at a pool hall. As always, the poem was built around the last line from the "ground up", working its way to the punchline. "The Act" of course refers to "making love" but also to any number of actions that would be innapropriate in the situation described. Anyway, i know in this one is a little controversial, at least in potential, but uh, what the fuck. It don't phase me none.
Emotions know no bounds,
They are like a fire eternal that flows equally through us all,
Of all these the feeling of a deep bond,
A one-to-one connection with someone whose feelings you know and share,
Is among the most coveted,
It finds its way across any gap,
Including that of age,
Into some of the world's hardest hearts,
And so two of to vast a difference in age,
May come to feel its closeness,
No power exists to stop it,
In any laws or holy doctrines,
Some may ask why then it is wrong to care for one years younger or older,
To this I say it is not the feeling but the act which is forbidden.
